Who We Support

Community Angels provides on-going support to a number of projects in our local community. This includes:

Young Mothers for Young Women (Micah Projects Inc.)
Family support, education and advocacy for young women (25 and under) who are pregnant and parenting.

The Deception Bay Flexible Learning Centre (Christian Brothers)
Part of the Edmund Rice Flexible Learning Centre Network for students experiencing a range of complex circumstances including young parenthood, lower socio-economic conditions, homelessness, family breakdown, and drug and alcohol abuse.

Pindari Women's Shelter (Salvation Army)

Ester Centre

In the last year we have:

• Furnished a safe house for women and children for Othilas, a community based organisation
• Helped to furnish a shelter for teenagers at Bray Park and supported a shelter at Bald Hills auspiced by Queensland Baptist Care
• Furnished and supplied goods for the accommodation of homeless and needy people through Micah Projects Inc.
• Aided Women's Network Australia in support of Pindari Women's shelter (Salvation Army)
• Supported and helped in many areas for The Deception Bay Flexible Learning Centre, auspiced by the Edmund Rice Foundation of the Christian Brothers
• Given support during Easter and Christmas to women, teenagers, students and their children, given gifts to newborn babes and generally given care and concern for those less fortunate
• Supported the Esther Centre Lotus House and Young Mothers for Young Women, Micah Projects Inc
